Our Story
Founded in 2018, Nigerians in Winnipeg began as a small group of friends who recognized the need for a stronger sense of community among Nigerians living in Manitoba's capital city. What started as informal gatherings in living rooms has grown into a vibrant organization serving over 500 community members. We have evolved from sharing homemade jollof rice to organizing major cultural celebrations, professional networking events, and comprehensive support programs for newcomers.Today, we stand as a bridge between the rich traditions of our homeland and the opportunities of our new home, helping every Nigerian in Winnipeg feel connected, supported, and proud.
